The challenge

A national team had to stage its World Cup qualifier outside its own country, at a Hungarian venue. The stadium, dressing rooms, broadcast and VAR infrastructure, security and protocol all had to satisfy FIFA requirements at once — at a venue not built for that match category.

What we did

  1. 01Selected the venue and took it through governing-body approval.
  2. 02Built out dressing rooms, media area and hospitality zone to the match category.
  3. 03Provided the international broadcast infrastructure and the VAR environment.
  4. 04Arranged travel, accommodation and accreditation for both delegations.
  5. 05Held operational command on matchday.

Outcome

The qualifier was played to FIFA requirements and to the planned schedule.

A World Cup qualifier is not one service but eight parallel projects: venue, dressing rooms, broadcast, VAR, security, medical cover, protocol and hospitality. Each has its own rulebook, its own deadline and its own owner — while the association had a single point of contact.

This is the kind of work that succeeds when it goes unnoticed: after the final whistle, nobody talks about the organisation.
